Il fatto che "Rick C. West" sia "di solito" attendibile, mi sa di provocazione sterile, Diego. E chiaro che prima di parlare ho dato un'occhiata, non credi...

 

Converrai che:

"Magari basterà già solo che tu ti colleghi a "www.birdspiders.com" e vada a dare un'occhiata nella sezione dedicata alle foto; alla lettera "E".Di solito "Rick C. West" è "attendibile"

suona un po' come presa per i fondelli....[] (spero di sbagliare)

 

Comunque, torniamo ai ragni e alla bislacca questione di questo nome assurdamente doppio...

 

Ho controllato su:

The World Spider Catalog, Version 3.0

by Norman I. Platnick

 

a quel nome (con la A) sul Platnik corrisponde UN SOLO esemplare.

La storiella platnikkiana è la seguente:

P. pulcherrimaklaasi Schmidt, 1991 -- see Euathlus.

quindi

 

Gen. Euathlus Ausserer, 1875

mf pulcherrimaklaasi (Schmidt, 1991)......Ecuador

Phrixotrichus p. Schmidt, 1994k: 5 (Tmf from Paraphysa).

Per cui fino a concreta prova contraria (per altro possibilissima nel "maculato" mondo della tassonomia) io affermerei che il ragno in questione è UNO SOLO e i nomi sono sinonimi....

Per ciò che riguarda "Rick. C. West", magari il suo webmaster ha solo sbagliato nome al ragno (come l'ha sbagliato al classificatore che non è Scmidt ma Schmidt)!

You have discovered a spelling error on my website and I thank

you for pointing this out. I will add this to my list of changes to be

made on the next website update which are done every 6 - 8

months due to the expensive cost to making the website changes.

I have to pay my website technician to do this for me as I don't

have the skills and his speed.

'Euthalus pucherrimusklaasi' should be Euthalus pulcherrimaklaasi

(Schmidt, 1991). The images on my website are two color variants

of the same species, one from central Chile and the other from

northern Chile. E. pulcherrimaklaasi ranges from southern Ecuador

to central Chile. E. pulcherrimaklaasi (Schmidt, 1991) was found

to be the senior synonym over Paraphysa pulcherrimaklaasi

Schmidt, 1991.

Diego - My grandson is doing well and thank you for the 'when in

La dizione corretta è:

Euthalus pulcherrimaklaasi

 

l'altra com'è stato chiarito da West in persona è un errore di ortografia.
