Di (potenzialmente) pericolose in Italia abbiamo due sole specie: A malmignatta (Latrodectus tredecimguttatus) e il ragno violino (Loxosceles rufescens); tutte le altre sono completamente innocue o causano, al massimo, sintomi trascurabili.
