Ho letto che fino a non poco tempo fa, il red back spider era classificato Latrodectus mactans hasselti. Tale classificazione è stata cambiata in Latrodectus hasselti. Ne sapete qualcosa?

Direttamente dal Platnick la nomenclatura esatta è Latrodectus hasselti, le altre sono tutte quelle in dususo.
